In this blog post we will be briefly discussing the article “Starbucks And Dutch Bros Can’t be Compared, Let Me Explain.”

Summary

Wright explains the argument on which coffee joint is better between Starbucks and Dutch Bros. Both places have different environment types that determines on the kind of people that purchase or settle down to enjoy their drink. She then concludes the article by talking about the differences on the quality of the drinks and how they can not be compared.

The audience is more towards people who need coffee every morning in order to function or at any time of the day, and people who love trying other drinks other than just coffee which the article talks about.

Context:

This article was published on Feburary 20, 2019 I always heard this argument throughout high school till today. It’s a hassel trying to pick between the two because everyone has their preference.

Main Arugment:

Wrights main argument is both coffee shops are not competitors because they both bring different attributes as to what they want to advertise for their company and people.

Claims:

• One coffee shop has a more serious atmosphere of work duties and school homework while the other is more energetic and fast paced
• Arguing which coffee shop is better, it honestly depends if you just want a drink with espresso or a drink that’s really sweet
• Depending on the demographic, it easy to tell what type of people go to which coffe shop

Evidence

• Starbucks is more quiet and sophisticated while Dutch Bros is more upbeat, fun, and chill
• The drinks from Dutch Bros are very sweet but people who like the taste of strong coffee tend to go for Starbucks
• Dutch Bros has a crowd of people from middle school, high school, and some college students while Starbucks has customers like teachers, professors, and business employees
• People have their opinions about the two coffee shops but it’s an argument that can not be solved because they are completely different to one another to even say which one is better
