Everyday there is something new being acknowledge by the world throughout news outlets. For example, the Corona Virus is a subject that everyone is talking about, it’s being updated almost everyday and is taken serious. Evidence is very important especially in situations like the virus where people are reading about it and relying on it in news articles and on tv. On social media someone could read a fake news report about it and spread false information which is why evidence is a big aspect in our lives.
In the reading it showed a multiple choice test that seems very easy but it’s to show how we use evidence and what information we gathered from pictures and shapes. In one of the questions it showed an animal that I thought was a rabbit, but on the second opportunity it gave other options as to what type of animal it was and it put my view into other persepctivs. Even though it showed a picture of a “rabbit” it could be a stuffed animal, “dinner”, “grass”, or a “rabbit plus grass”.
Evidence has been a learning process throughout the years even today in a test taking environment from having multiple choice test. The main goal is to make the best guess based on what evidence you already have. Finding the answers through process elimination is canceling out the options that do not make sense and narrowing it to one option that is the answer to the question. This relates to the news outlets because even though you have seen the companies name before, it does not mean it is a reliable source which makes the information false.
